37/365 and yes, i skipped yesterday, but it's OK

because

i'm going with the idea that the original rule (?), intent (?), of the 365 challenge were simply guidelines and that's all. i mean, really? who's keeping track besides me? (OK, maybe UB to make sure i'm really writing stuff and not filler to just have a post up.) so, by now, you might be asking yourself, "what the hell did you do yesterday, savannah, that kept you from posting?" well, sugarplums, mamma was B.U.S.Y. with the last bit of work she had to do as indentured slave servant to the MITM and his corporate krewe.

but,

i did get a new iPhone5 in lieu of pay for my services. (i know, right?) now, i just have to learn how to really use it. pretty funny stuff considering how loathe i was to even consider trading in my old razr phone and now i'm on my second smartphone! don't even get me started on how much better my texting skills have gotten. (even super nana is impressed!) and yes, all y'all were right about taking the leap.

so, now what?

i'm sitting here and they're gone. the MITM and The Doc have been working since 08h00 and all i had to do this morning was:

1. make coffee

2. make blueberry buttermilk pancakes

3. clean-up after breakfast

and

4. write one check.

and i'm still in my  jammies!

the added bonus today? my wakeup was at 06h00 and not 3aminthedamndarkmorning!

i think LX was right, i could get used to this lifestyle very easily.

  1. Sounds like a great way to start the day.

When we travel to the States we are always amazed that vendors still encourage customers to write checks, up here these are cheques.
Often we stand bumpuzzled..(favorite phrase from Survivor) that the store manager doesn't like Interac or Credit Cards..don't want to pay the fees I guess? but they say We'll take a cheque!!? Up here you had better have 15 pieces of ID and prepare to wait while the store phones your bank if you want to write a cheque...just sayin.

    1. most of the time, i use a debit card rather than write checks or use cash! it all works out fine in the end, but a check sometimes makes bookkeeping easier. xoxoxo

  2. Anyone up before a Rooster would rise, DESERVES to do what they want. :)

Hubby laughed at texting. Railed against it. Why text when you could CALL someone since you had a phone in your hand? We got smartphones, now he's worse than a teenager. Why? Because he discovered he could dictate those texts.

He has, however, learned to review those messages before hitting send as the Android "hears" some strange words from time to time. That's why we refer to them as our Druid phones.

    Good luck!

  5. texting, check writing, blogging, in your jammies. Your indentured servitude doesn't sound too bad.

  7. I had jammies once, they were stolen by a bigger lad in lieu of lunch money. We later became best friends. He still wears my jammies. :¬)

  8. Mrs B hated her Razr phone so much she ran over it.....It's frightening odd how quickly Smartphone’s have invaded our lives – if it was a virus most of the developed world would have been wiped out by now.

  9. Well, someone has to keep you honest and I don't see anyone else stepping up to the plate.

iPhone 5. Welcome to the club. Did they teach you the secret handshake? Nice camera action.
