Here's to Peeps and Chocolate Bunnies and Eggs!

 Here's what I did today:

In honor of today, I present the Peeps and Bunnies Tower of Power with Cadbury mini chocolate eggs and chocolate chip cookies! Mini jelly beans and foil-wrapped chocolate eggs are also presented for your dessert experience in vintage Franciscan Desert Rose cups and saucers!

Lunch photos are unavailable because everyone was hungry, so food was devoured before pics could be taken! We had barbeque tri-tip, chicken, potato salad, and Hawaiian (honey rolls) sliders with Swiss cheese, ham, with a butter, mustard, minced onion, and Worcestershire sauce spread. If you want the recipes, I'll post them tomorrow.

BGM crocheted a special friend for today!

BKC and BGM received Easter baskets from super nana, but no pics were taken.

Hope your day was grand!  xoxo

April Actions and other things happening around here

After Saturday's show of resistance to TFG and his cabal of vulgarians, economic resistance is again required.

There will be more because as in the past, for some the only thing that matters is the bottomline and when that's affected, people listen.

Chinese Curse

Guest Post - MITM

There's a Chinese Curse that goes something like "may you live in interesting times". Well enough said.

I recently read an article entitled Infinite License by Israeli writer Omer Bartov in The New York Review of Books (Volume LXXII, Nbr 2, April 24th, 2025), Mr. Bartov takes us on a journey through several books addressing the Gaza war. As an aside, he makes the following remarks:

"One afternoon in early December 2024 I was sitting with a friend of many decades at a popular cafe facing the Habima Theatre in Tel Aviv. I looked around the busy cafe and asked, 'what does a society engaged in genocide look like?' 'Like this,' we agreed. Some of the younger men and women sipping espressos may have just come back from service in Gaza or Lebanon."

Chilling. We citizens in the remnants of a constitutional democracy, must now have the courage to ask ourselves tough questions. What does a society look like in the midst of eroding democratic principles, disdain for the rule of law, willful marginalization of minorities, racist and misogynistic state mandated policies?

Well, sadly, look around America, like this.
