i'll be wearing a black eye patch for the next few days... arrrrgh.. in the spirit of all the female pirates who roamed these streets of the sovereign state of chatham before me...but i'll not be holding the black spot!

too damn funny! and she's right, someone HAD to say it! the eye is fine and so am i...nothing exciting, just a stupid/dumb/can't believe it happened/run of the mill sty, BUT it hurt and i can not abide little pain, so keeping my eye closed just felt better...

tomorrow a NEW post without any injuries or assorted tales of woe....unless doing the accounts counts...then i've got a MAGNIFICENT WHINE!!

a week to the day

i am tired!

been around to read some of ya'll...so much to catchup on, so forgive me for being post light and comment heavy...it's so much easier to read all ya'll than write right now...ya'll have been very prolific!

at last

sooooooooooooo, here are some pictures the MITM took....he absolutely hated the 2 pictures one of our sons took of him, so ya'll will just have to wait until we get some of the others from family/friends to see him *w* first pic is the view from the site, then the bride and groom ...mr & mrs moose, me and mini me aka connie aka the princesss of quite a lot, then #1 son..and then the CAKE!

i'll post more soon, but as you can guess it's been a bit hectic around here AND we're off again on monday. once again, thank you for your good wishes, for continuing to stop by and reading, but most of all, for sharing your worlds with me!

wow, wow, wow!!!!

hey sugars! we're back home...the weekend was fantastic, the wedding lovely, the weather was perfect...and wow, wow, wow! our family is now bigger by one...and even larger with new in-laws and extended family.

i love weddings.

pictures soon, but i had to promise to be discreet...

and thanks again for all your lovely wishes for the newlyweds..yep, that's right, we talked about all ya'll!

getting crazy here

yes, we had dinner out and will again very soon...ya'll have discovered my favorite cause...supporting the local economy...

BUT, seriously...the wedding is a week away, it's insane here and even crazier out in california (no, i'm not being an elitist, that's where the wedding is being held) flowers are paid for, resto for the rehearsal dinner is taken care of, hotel, car and flights booked/reserved/paid for...AND i even have a mother of the groom outfit *smirk* why does that sound so incredibly old fashioned and quaint? and yes, there will be pictures...later. mr savannah is also suitably decked out in non formal evening attire (dark suit, white shirt, cuff links, gorgeous silk tie...men's clothing is so much less complicated)...one of the downsides is that it's an evening wedding, so no chance of getting a great big hat for the event...not that i need an excuse...

so, i'm slipping into drive by blogging mode for the next week or so...i'll try to post as often as possible and drop by and visit with all ya'll as much as i can!

i'll raise a glass to all of you for your kindness and friendship and hope you'll raise one, as well, to mr. & mrs. moose on august 11th!
